Kiwi Jasper is named for its appearance with a greenish base and dark speckles, looking like the kiwi fruit. Because of its composition, it is not a uniform color and has some spots that are more or less blue, green, black, or grey, and spots that range from opaque to translucent.

NOTE: Kiwi Jasper should be fairly durable, not breaking easily, but can be scratched or carved easily [3] and may lose its color in prolonged exposure to the Sun's UV rays [1]. Because it is believed to be a combination of Amazonite, Tourmaline, and Quartz, it may also contain traces of copper and aluminum that can be toxic in excess amounts [6].
